You can try disabling the Windows Search indexer to see if that helps. The Resource Monitor will confirm this though. I7 machines don't normally come with less that 4GB of RAM, so I doubt its pagefile access holding it up. I'd remove it, check performance, then reinstall it from the Kaspersky site (throw away the installation disc) If this is not actually a clean install, then your antivirus could be playing up if it came across from Windows 8. I'd uninstall Lenovo Solution Center and Lenovo Service Bridge. I've had the odd occasion where I had to download newer network drivers, and graphics drivers you probably want to get from their respective sites (Intel, nVidia, AMD). I find that in most cases, the built-in drivers that Windows 10 installs itself do the job. There is a chance that the software and drivers from Lenovo are not up to date for Windows 10. That tells me that either this is not a clean install, or you went to the Lenovo site and downloaded software and possibly drivers for your machine. You have Lenovo Solution Center and Lenovo Service Bridge running. Make sure Defender is disabled, you have Kaspersky.
You can sort the "Disk Activity" section by "Total" to get the big offenders up the top of the list. You will also see the Queue Length on the right of the window. You will be able to see the files that are getting the most attention and the process accessing them. Something is hitting a lot of small files and flooding the queue or something is holding it up like antivirus? Open the resource monitor, switch to the "Disk" tab to get a closer look at what is happening. The mouse moves slowly anything I try to open or right click on will take forever to load. After having issues with windows 10 I decided to clean install and now the issues are even worse.
